Oracy & Commando Joe

Recently, we have had a focus of Oracy in our classroom. We decided to combine this with Commando Joe and challenged ourselves to give clear and concise instructions to successfully complete an obstacle course - blindfolded!

The children had to make sure they used their oracy skills to direct their partner around the course, safely and in the correct order. The children had to dribble a football, jump hurdles, throw a ball into a hoop, walk along the benches, army crawl and finally complete the hoops.

All of the children were able to communicate effectively and help their friends around the course. We had a great time seeing how fast we could make our way to the end and lots of laughs in the process.

Myself, Miss Jackson and Miss Jones are really proud of how everybody communicated with one another and worked as part of a team :)
